This is a message from us, to you. A message about where you are and what we are about. A message of hope for the children, a message of dreams for the brighter future. A simply weird message, and one you might be terrified by and also enamored with at the same time.
We’re starting to think that perhaps Miles may be the ultimate chocolate snob. Has he been sampling chocolate longer than us and just turns his nose up at everything? We don’t know, but to this date he hasn’t tried anything – at least on camera.
Mars Topic Bar – Poland
Our first one that we’ve tried from Poland! With great results! It’s kind of like a step above a Snickers bar – tastes much better and like it has better ingredients.
A couple more found up in Canada – o, Canada! We find so many fascinating things up there! This show wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Canadian Chocolate. So we salute you. You’re kind to us, even if we’re not always kind to you.
Maltesers Teasers – Canada
Odd little chocolate poops or polyps – chocolate covered malt – like a Whopper but way more chocolate.
Thirty-four episodes is a lot of episodes. I mean, it isn’t a psychologically amazing number like say a 100 or anything with a zero after it, but it’s impressive. I know you agree because I mean hey – it’s the right thing to do.
Seattle Chocolate We Work Together Like Nuts & Bolt – United States
For the second time in the history of this glorious program, one of us has spat out a piece. Kit found this to be horrible while Hans found it pretty good.
Kit – 0 out of 5 stars
Hans – 3 1/2 out of 5
Seattle Chocolate Here’s Looking At You Sparkling Mimosa – United States
Pop Rocks is NOT champagne! (pronounced sham-pan-ya). Chocolate and orange pop rocks.
Kit – 1 1/2 out of 5
Hans – 0 out of 5
Seattle Chocolate Baby Cakes – United States
Red confetti in there. Kind of wow. Like birthday cake funfeii and chocolate.
With this post, all episode of The Chocolate Break to date are up! I found myself with a lot of extra time. Everyone here was sick so I just sat on here and hammered everything out. New posts will appear here on Thursdays around 11am Seattle time.
Seattle Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake – United States
This one was incredibly good – very sweet with a lot of great strawberry flavor – even visible pieces of strawberries in the bar!
Another episode with Miles, however we start to see he’s quickly losing interest in this whole, sordid after hours affair and is getting ready to fall asleep.
Seattle Chocolate Happy Birthday – United States
Confetti? Colors! Fun! Like Funfetti frosting, cake batter & frosting.
Miles had been bugging us for a couple days. Not really bugging; he’s a really sweet little boy – he would come up to us and say ‘Chocolate Breaaaaaak??’ Well, tonight we decided to let him stay up and do some chocolate breakdancing.
Tony’s Choco Lonely 51% Dark Chocolate With Almonds – Belgium
Miles picked this one, but didn’t want to taste it. Kind of a bummer.
Your basic answer to the M&M by Nestle. They’re a little different – thicker shells mainly. Miles wouldn’t try these either although he likes them. He’s trying to vex us.
The second subscription box we’ve tried from Tokyo Treat, a company specializing in fancy boxes full of tasty bits from Japan. Use coupon code THERAMENRATER to get a discount!
While we haven’t enjoyed every single thing out of these boxes (and they’re definitely not all chocolate items), we really enjoy trying new and exotic things we normally wouldn’t and that is why we both give these 5 out of 5 stars.
During Christmas, candy and chocolate and treats and such fly this way and that. We got one of these and decided it was time to give one of these boxes a try – giving it The Chocolate Break treatment. Join us as we open the box and taste it’s sweet insides.
Russell Stover All Milk Gift Box – United States
In so many ways, this is our downfall. We migh have enjoyed this at the beginning of our journey of sampling and reviewing, but at this point, we don’t. We found almost every single offering here to be foul and far, far below par. It’s really sad. By looking for excellence, we get to enjoy less. But this we do for you.

After watching an episode of The Hot Ones with Weird Al Yankovic, we decided we needed to do this. Watch the video – and thank us – because now you don’t have to do it. Although you should because we did.
