Well hello there. A couple of weeks we came down with the covid. The flavor was omicron, basically a Greek letter O or 0. I hoped it would be a more interesting looking character but it’s not. It got every single one of us in the house, us and our two kids. It wasn’t fun. In fact in the next episode that comes out, the prolonged effect of that little bugger will be known. Either way, we review some Amazon Fresh delivered chocolate which overall we really didn’t like at all. Remember kids, don’t lick the windows on your school bus.
Episode #98 – The Chocolate Break Covid Omicron Edition
After many months of meditating, it has come to our attention we completely forgot about all of you. Yes, we shirked our responsibility to the throngs of followers we have and decided to give a big ‘screw you’ to each and every one of you. But now, we’ve relented, and without apology, we resume our tasting and commenting on the various varieties of chocolate confections that you enjoy. These are trivial treats that make you feel as though life is worth living as you trudge through your days like a long walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night, drowsy and confused. With that, once again we bring you what you want.
Episode #91: Like The Legend Of The Creamy Bolus
Twix Cookies & Creme – United States
This one was a little confusing as it has an alright flavor, but it kind of left us feeling a little dirty. The creme also confused Hans as to whether it was caramel infused or not, however Kit was quick to point out the lack of caramel and corrected him accordingly.
Hans – 3 / 5 stars
Kit 3 / 5 stars
Kit Kat Duos Mocha+Chocolate – United States
We were both insensed and a bit disgusted with this one. The words we described these with were burnt and drudgery – Kit found the flavor a little burnt, and Hans found it not very enjoyable and kind of a chore in the chew department.
Last year, we did a big huge thing about Frango Chocolates. We tried every single variety. We’d pondered doing an update, but there are no new recipes and no new varieties. This is a special re-release of this list with a little more info at the beginning. Enjoy!
A little gift box. I love livin so close to Canada – especially during the holidays. Walmart and T&T markets up there have a myriad of fascinating things on the cheap to test drive. This box was $5 and seemed like a good bet. Well, let’s see…
In the beginning there was chocolate. Yea, the chocolate was lush and creamy; but the chocolate begat the jealousy of the masses. O dark lords of Lindt, what is your deal? Darkness and light collide as we delve into a vessel containing multiple flavors. Should say that there really are no dark lords of Lindt – they just haunt our dreams and bring forth snarls. Let’s begin.
THE DARK LORDS OF LINDT – Switzerland
We crack this box open and find 8 different varieties to try. Honestly, for something mass produced, this was on the whole very good. Some we liked better than others, but this box had lots of tasty stuff.
Hey how are you today? No? Oh, that’s too bad. Well, here’s some special neato things from the 2018 Northwest Chocolate Festival that should make you die a little more.
Ecuador, Fresno, & Dubai
Villakuyaya Organic Dark Chocolate Masala Chai – Ecuador
Just an amazing amount of chai masala in this and it really fascinateds us.
We visited the Northwest Chocolate Festival and found a lot o neat items there. One company, Le Chatelaine (based in Montana from France) had a myriad of fascinations to try – they were kind enough to give us a few to sample. Let’s have a look!
Everything was absolutely extraordinary. These people care about their chocolate; it’s not mass produced – it’s cradled from inception to production. Our palates are better for trying all these 5 star beauties!
