Episode 25: Storck Merci European Chocolate Sampler

Here’s one you’ve perhaps seen an advert for. Found these up in Canada but they’re easily found in the United States. I’ve always wondered about them and now we try them all.

Storck Merci European Chocolate Sampler – Germany

Our general consensus was that this was an almost alright kind of batch of varieties – give this to a servant, not someone you truly love. Although we did give the left over chocolate to my mother and she really enjoyed them so others will enjoy them. And I love my mother.

Lots of scores – just watch the video.

Macy’s FRANGOS – All Of Them! The Chocolate Break EXTRA!!

We took a trip to Seattle – parked at the Pacific Science Center, walked through the Seattle Center and saw lots of neat Christmassy things and then rode the Monorail downtown and ended up at Macy’s. There we got to do pictures with Santa (by the way this is the real Santa Claus – all others are complete fakers) and hit the Frango gift shop. Here is our special escapade through the FRANGO phenomenon – a ton of flavors to enjoy!

I could list all the flavors and scores here, but I’m lazy and actually the video is much more fascinating. So watch the video and get yourself some of these next time the holidays roll around! With the way that old style departments stores have gone these days, it might not be a tradition that lasts too much longer, sadly.

Japan Candy Box – The Chocolate Break EXTRA

On The Ramen Rater, Hans unboxes a myriad of subscription boxes of noodles. Well, this tradition has started making its way over to The Chocolate Break! Here, we try out first box from Japan and see how we feel about it. Mind you, this post is being written in March of 2019 and so the contest mentioned is long over.

Watch the video to get our fascinating insights!

Episode 11: Halloween Candy Roundup 2018

We thought it would be fin to try and find a ton of different Halloween candy and review it. Well, we thought we’d find a ton in Canada. No dice. We went to a Fred Meyer in north Bellingham which was pretty bizarre – it felt like we were the strangers in town who walk into the bar in the old western movie and the music stops and everyone stares. But we managed to find some things here and there. We also went to Cost Plus World Market to find lots of neat varieties as well.
